New Westminster BC Parkway Upgrades

TransLink has initiated upgrades on a section of the BC Parkway in New Westminster, starting in February 2024. These enhancements aim to significantly improve safety, accessibility, and capacity along the segment of the Parkway that stretches along Stewardson Way, from River Drive to 14th Street.

 

Key features of the improvement project include the construction of a new and widened multi-use path, as well as enhanced pathway lighting. These improvements are designed to address the current narrow width and the close proximity to Stewardson Way along this section of the parkway.

 

Construction work is expected to be completed as soon as late 2024, depending on weather conditions.
