126 Metro Vancouver Schools Celebrated Bike To School Week
This year’s Bike to School Week, which took place between May 31 and June 4, witnessed a record smashing 126 schools participating throughout Metro Vancouver. The week-long event complemented the green initiatives already happening at schools, and helped keep the school culture alive at a time when school events were hampered by COVID induced social restrictions.
“Principal said it was the most “school spirited” event this whole covid year. He made the office/front reception of the area of the school a bike shop and coordinated the logistics of giving away the donated bikes. The bike parade/ slow race was wonderful to see! THANK YOU from Ecole Riverdale!” commented Ecole Riverdale Elementary, Surrey
