Events and Rides
In addition to doing advocacy, we also organize physical events. After all, this is where the proverbial rubber meets the road, literally.
We organize social rides to highlight local cycling routes and destinations, as a means to make residents aware of safer, alternative routes away from main roads with high traffic volume. As such, the rides are not designed for the Spandex-clad enthusiast expected to come do time trials. Rather, they vary in length and level of difficulty. The ride particulars will be provided in the event announcements so you can judge if the ride is for you or your family.
If you are just starting out and would like to get familiar with the routes, but are somewhat intimidated to be riding with a bigger, perhaps more experienced crowd, drop us an email and someone might be able to give you a private tour.
We are also often found at local events like Earth Day, Car Free Day, Repair Cafés, GETI Fest and Pitt Meadows Day. Come drop by our booth!
If you are interested in being kept informed of our future events or new articles on our website on topics that may be of interest to you, sign up to our email newsletter at the bottom of the web page.
